Spaghetti ali-oli

One of the most typical italian pasta recipes, famous from north to south: Spaghetti with garlic, oil and hot pepper. It is is a very simple and quick dish to make, really tasty.

Ingredients for 2 people:

  • 160g Spaghetti
  • 2 garlic cloves
  • 1 hot chilli pepper
  • 3 tablespoons of extra virgin olive oil (recommended 100% Italiano)


Bring some water to the boil in pot. Add salt and cook spaghetti al dente.

(1) While the pasta is cooking fry into 3 spoons of extra virgin olive oil the garlic and the chilli pepper paying the attention not to burn them. If you want, you can use dry chilli or those who do not like spicy so much can remove the seeds to decrease their spiciness.

(2) After a couple of minutes of frying (when the garlic becomes slightly darker) switch the hob off. Add the spaghetti into the pan with the sauce and stir for few minutes.

Serve it piping hot.
